If they don't involve the .exe does that mean its no longer possible to add Minecraft as a non-steam game to my steam library? Trying to make it work with my xbox controller and thats the main method I've seen people suggest but as far as I've been able to tell I need to select the minecraftlauncher.exe to add it to my library and that doesn't seem to exist anymore.
It was a lot easier than we expected. Many thanks!
That first one worked great! It was impossible for me to figure it out for my forza.

"Don't have permission" I tried everything. Is there a way to bypass it and use a Java edition controller?
this is a grand help, however, I'm experiencing the dreaded OpenGL 1282 error, but cannot find the location as to where to place the required file
I tried the excellent advice from several users in this thread but to no avail. No matter what I do, Steam won't run the new launcher. Although I may be a complete novice, Java MC simply doesn't support controller support. We deserve better than a work-around.
